What is Early Invention?  

An Early Interventionist also provides Service Coordination to your family.

Palmetto EIS will assist our families will making referral to any needed therapies which can include Occupational therapy which can assist with sensory processing concerns and behavior and any fine motor delays. Physical therapy if you child has delays in any gross motor milestones and Speech therapy services if your child shows some delays in his or her communication.  Early Interventionist are trained to work on speech delays.  Palmetto EIS will screen and assess your child to determine the areas of delay and make referrals based on the percentage of delays in each area. 

EIS also provides Service Coordination services to assist families with any Service coordination needs that they might need that may include assistance with Assistance Applying for Government Programs Social Security Medicaid ABC vouchers for Childcare

EI also makes referral and completes screening for Autism referrals, Behavioral Services for children who have some behaviors and family counseling and referrals for any Genetic Testing Assistance.  EI will also assist with referring a preparing for school services by the age of three.

How does Palmetto EI help?

Early intervention consists of a support network, that is individually created specifically for you and your child.  Palmetto early interventionist that works with you can provide service coordination too.  We will evaluate all your concerns and questions about your child development and help you to determine who you want in that support network.  Palmetto early intervention is trained in assessing and working with children within a wide variety of developmental delays and disabilities.  Your support network can include as many or as few individuals and therapists that you feel or needed to assist your child to grow and develop.  Your EI will evaluate and assess your child’s overall development and provide the information to you. You will also receive and explanation of the different services so you can determine if you would like additional support through services that may include occupational therapy for fine motor and sensory concerns, physical therapy for gross motor delays in speech therapy for communication concerns.
